For this 2017 edition, The Others teamed up with catalan chef Jo Baixas, and Associate Architect Dariela Hentschel from Patrick Genard & Asociados in Barcelona, to participate to the Foodies Challenge contest in Milan. Under the slogan “New Shapes of Food, Ephemeral Design”, FOODIES’ CHALLENGE 2017 is the 2nd edition of a team and aims to support the culture of project and the collaboration between great professionals of strategic food sector. The chefs interpret the inspirations and suggestions of designers and creative people to create new dishes with the art of cooking. Our multicultural team decided to create a new “food concept” incorporating the magic, poetry and beauty of the Mexican architecture of Luis Barragán to the gastronomic world using typical Catalan ingredients in order to create a dish capable to thrill by its flavours, forms, textures and colours.
